Galicia - An untouched surfing paradise

During late July and early August, Galicia hosts Surfakademin’s performance surf camp. Galicia in an astonishing province in northwestern Spain, located on the Iberian Peninsula, which has incredibly dramatic and beautiful scenery, rich culture and history, and perhaps Europe’s most pristine waves and the best waves in all of Spain.

We stay at the super modern, cool, yet organic Herbeira Hotel in the small coastal village of Cedeira, nestled in a beautiful bay. A good mix of points and beach breaks with high consistency of waves and a beautiful landscape lay beneath our feet. We are obviously mobile to be able to go catch the best waves every day. Usually we go to the lovely point break Pantin – one of our absolute favorite waves in Europe, our nose ride favorite Villarube or a road trip along the dramatic coast of Galicia. We are a small crew of around 10 people – so we are super dynamic and our focus is solely all about maximizing surf. In other words, a playful and humble performance surf camp.
